2. What will happen to Faith Christian Academy after Mr. Weaver’s transition?
The FCA Board is actively seeking the next administrator to lead the school into its next chapter. The Board and leadership team are committed to ensuring a smooth and steady transition. FCA’s mission, values, and Christ-centered foundation will remain strong.
3. Why is Mr. Weaver stepping down?
After much prayer and reflection, Mr. Weaver and his family have felt called to prepare for a new season of ministry and outreach. This includes a 13,000-mile cross-country biking journey—covering all 48 continental states—through Billy Goat Adventures, a project focused on faith, family, and purpose.
4. Do the Weavers have any problems with the school?
Not at all. The Weavers love Faith Christian Academy and its mission wholeheartedly. This decision is not about leaving something difficult—it’s about following God’s calling into a new season of ministry and adventure. The family remains deeply grateful for the love, support, and partnership of the FCA staff, families, and students.
5. Will the Weavers still be involved at FCA?
Yes! The Weavers love FCA deeply and will continue to be part of the school community in meaningful ways.
- Mrs. Weaver will continue teaching next year.
- The Weaver children will attend FCA next year and through the first quarter of the following school year before the family’s trip begins.
- Mr. Weaver will continue to coach and develop the soccer program, investing in FCA athletics and student growth.
6. What exactly is the cross-country trip?
Beginning in 2027, Mr. Weaver and his daughter Bella will bike around the entire United States—approximately 13,000 miles over 250 days—touching all four corners of the country and visiting schools, churches, and youth groups along the way. The goal is to inspire students and families to discover purpose through adventure.
7. What will the rest of the Weaver family be doing?
Mrs. Weaver and their younger two children will travel in a support vehicle, helping with logistics, outreach, and encouragement along the way. It’s truly a family calling centered on faith, service, and adventure.
8. How can we follow along or support the journey?
You can follow updates, photos, and videos at http://www.billygoatadventures.org or on social media @BillyGoatAdventures.
Opportunities for prayer and partnership will be shared later this spring as planning continues.
9. What does this mean for FCA families and students this year?
Day-to-day life at FCA will continue as normal. Mr. Weaver and the staff are fully committed to finishing the school year strong. Families can expect regular communication from the Board as the administrator search moves forward.
10. What’s one thing Mr. Weaver wants families to know?
That this decision comes from a place of gratitude, not goodbye. God has used this school to impact countless lives—including his own—and this next season is simply another way to keep that mission going, one mile and one story at a time.
